Use an evenly lit green or blue screen. Shadows, wrinkles and motion blur make keying harder. Green or blue clothing matching the background may also disappear. Inspect hair and edges before exporting.

Export transparent WebM VP9 with optional audio, or a ZIP of numbered transparent PNG frames without audio. Import the PNG sequence at your source video's frame rate. WebM preserves video timing; PNG sequences use evenly spaced frames.

Use Spill Suppression to reduce green or blue reflections along the subject. If parts of the subject disappear, lower Tolerance and check whether clothing or props match the selected background color. Increase Softness or Edge Blur only as needed: too much can remove fine detail or make edges partly transparent. Compare Show Original and Show Result, and inspect several frames with movement. These controls cannot restore details that blend into the backdrop.

Chroma key makes a selected background color transparent, including green or blue. Pick the color from your video or enter a color value. Use an evenly lit, solid-color background that differs from the subject. It does not automatically separate a subject from a detailed scene.

The editor supports touch controls and checks your browser's decoding and encoding capabilities. Some devices cannot process all codecs or large videos. Try 720p output or a desktop browser if you have trouble.

There is no fixed duration limit. We recommend videos under 10 minutes. Actual capacity depends on your device, resolution and export format. PNG sequences can create large ZIP files, so short clips are recommended.

Your player or editor must support transparency in the chosen format. Try a compatible WebM player or import the PNG sequence into your editor. A black player background alone does not mean the alpha channel is missing.

Original keeps your source dimensions. The 1080p and 720p options fit landscape or portrait video within those bounds without enlarging it. WebM quality changes compression; PNG frames remain lossless at the selected resolution.
